Subgraphs
Nest-backed subgraphs
When no indexer on The Graph network serves a subgraph, the apps that query it break. These are subgraphs we answer from a nuthatch nest built from the same contracts, as a stopgap: the app changes one URL and its queries keep working, until an indexer allocates and it can switch back.
No running stopgap subgraphs at the moment.
Is your subgraph unserved?
If your app's queries to The Graph started failing, open an issue at nightswatchhq/graph-support with the deployment ID. We check whether any indexer serves it and, if none does, stand up a nest for it. There is no account, no key and no charge.
What a nest answers
Everything a subgraph derives from its contracts' events: ids, addresses, amounts, owners, and the running totals that can be rebuilt from those events. Fields that need something a nest does not hold are refused by name, never answered with a guess. Each page lists exactly what its nest refuses. It is not a drop-in replacement for every subgraph, and each page says so where it is not.
Run it yourself
Every nest here is public, with its views, queries and the commands to run it on your own machine: one binary and an RPC endpoint. Nuthatch and The Graph explains how it sits beside the network rather than in place of it.
